Braves Unveil Plans for Inaugural Alumni Weekend, June 25-28
Four Days of Alumni Events Benefitting the Atlanta Braves Foundation Include Fan Meet and Greets, Celebrity Softball Classic, Diamond Gala, and Atlanta Braves Foundation Golf Classic The Atlanta Braves will host their first ever Alumni Weekend June 25 – 28 to benefit the Atlanta Braves Foundation. Alumni including Paul Assenmacher, Tony Brizzolara, Bruce Benedict, Sid Bream, Rick Camp, Brad Clontz, Gene Garber, Marquis Grissom, Jay Howell, Brian Hunter, Brian Jordan, Greg McMichael, Jim Nash, Otis Nixon, Eddie Perez, Charlie Puleo, Craig Skok, Pete Smith, Zane Smith, Jeff Treadway and more will take part in events throughout the weekend including meet and greets with fans on Friday and Sunday, a Celebrity Softball Classic before Saturday’s 4:00 game, the second annual Diamond Gala on Sunday evening at the Loews Hotel Atlanta, and the Atlanta Braves Foundation Golf Classic on Monday morning at East Lake Country Club. Braves Alumni Weekend Schedule of Events Friday, June 25: 5:30 p.m. – Fan meet & greet and autograph opportunity with Braves alumni in Fan Plaza7:35 p.m. – Braves vs. Detroit Tigers Saturday, June 26: 2:30 p.m. – The Atlanta Braves will host their first ever Celebrity Softball Classic at 2:30 p.m. before the Braves take on the Detroit Tigers in a 4:05 p.m. match-up. The free pre-game Celebrity Softball Classic will feature Braves alumni and local celebrities in an exhibition game on the field. 4:05 p.m. – Braves vs. Detroit Tigers Sunday, June 27: 11:30 a.m. – Fan meet & greet and autograph opportunity with Braves alumni in Fan Plaza 1:30 p.m. – Braves vs. Detroit Tigers 6:30 p.m. – The Atlanta Braves Foundation Diamond Gala, a star-studded night of casino games, entertainment, and silent and live auctions, alongside Braves players, coaches, and alumni, is set for Sunday evening at the Loews Hotel Atlanta. All proceeds will benefit the Atlanta Braves Foundation and help fund the Foundation’s community grants program. Diamond Gala ticket packages include Braves Bucks that can be used to play casino games such as Black Jack, Roulette, Craps, Texas Hold-Em Poker, and Slots. Guests will play alongside Braves players, coaches, and alumni who will be in attendance interacting with fans throughout the evening.
